Beyond half of the world

Known by travellers as “Half of the World”, Esfahan is so much more than bridges and blue domes mosques. On our 6-hour walking tour, we’ll go beyond the touristy shops and vendors of Naqsh-e Jahan square and take you on a food exploration of Esfahan. We’ll start with breakfast, guide you through the spice bazaar, show you how Esfahanis made various seed oils in the good old days, make stops to sample local delicacies, pastries and sherbets and end the tour with a delightful lunch that serves all of the best local dishes. Along the tour, your guide will educate you about Esfahan’s food culture and the influence of Islamic medicine on the local cuisine while exploring some of the most historic parts of the city.

Our Beyond half of the world tour is a great way to understand and sample Esfahani cuisine in a short time.

Cook your own Esfahani feast

Esfahani food is known by many to be tough labour and too tricky to get right. We’re here to prove this wrong.

Our Esfahan cooking class starts with tour of one of the lesser visited bazaars in the city. You will meet a local guide who knows the city like the back of her hand and who’s ready to revel all her favourite food shops. You will walk around the bazaar, get to learn about different local ingredients and shop for a few to take to the cooking class.

During the cooking class our exceptional local chef will teach you everything about the top Esfahan dishes and the secrets to getting them right. You’ll get a hands-on experience of cooking a whole feast of local food while you learn all the tips and tricks of the Persian kitchen. Our experienced chefs are here to share their top secrets that make cooking Esfahani food an easy and delightful experience.

On this tour, you’ll be making a full menu including a starter, main dish, side dish, dessert and local drink. Once everything is fully prepared, we’ll all sit down for a feast and celebrate the love of food altogether.
